Ciara completed a BA Hons Degree in Design for Stage and Screen, at IADT. She graduated with First Class Honours, specialising in Production Design. At the 2014 Design for Stage and Screen Exhibition, Ciara displayed designs for a staged version of the Greek trilogy The Oedipus Cycle, by Sophocles.

Additionally, Ciara’s presentation included work depicting a filmic interpretation of The Star Child, Oscar Wilde’s classic story for children. Her accompanying thesis explores the melding of familiar and fantastical imagery in designs for a child audience.

Following the exhibition, Ciara’s work was selected for display as part of the national Emerging Artist’s Exhibition 2014, at the celebrated Courthouse Arts Centre. The work of just twenty two artists and designers was selected from a broad range of disciplines to represent the exciting future of the Irish art world.
